Racquel Correa

Racquel Correa, Youth, Peace, and Security Specialist, will be sharing her journey and insights. With MA degrees from Ateneo de Manila University and the University for Peace, Racquel has an extensive background in advocacy, research, and capacity-building. Her impactful work spans NGOs, governments, grassroots organizations, and international bodies across Asia.

Michael

Michael from the Philippines, Executive Director of the Indigenous Children’s Learning Centers of the Philippines. Michael has dedicated his life to providing equal access to education for marginalized children, including those from the heavily marginalized Sama Dilaut communities.

Growing up in Denmark, Malaysia, and the Philippines, with Sama roots, Michael has a unique perspective on the impact of globalization on indigenous people with traditional livelihoods.

Dr Stacy Estrada

Dr. Estrada-Smith, an esteemed facilitator, speaker, and consultant with over 11 years of dedication to leadership development, will be sharing her journey and insights on empowering first-generation Latinas from historically underserved communities. Her groundbreaking research on self-efficacy and leadership, along with her significant contributions to peace education, will inspire and motivate young changemakers to positively impact their communities.

Michelle Clemente

a peace and development worker with over a decade of experience in community development and peace education in conflict and non-conflict zones and with indigenous communities, holds dual master’s degrees in Peace Education and Political Science, majoring in global politics. Her mission is to nurture generations of peacebuilders for more peaceful hearts, homes, and communities.

Sarah Oliver

Sarah Oliver is the Global Youth and Learning Coordinator for the United Religions Initiative (URI). Based in South Africa, she works to support, connect and inspire young people as interfaith activists and peacebuilders around the world. Sarah has worked in the interfaith sector for the last 10 years, running youth camps, workshops and skills- trainings, both locally and globally.

Samira Fatma Barucija

Samira Fatma Baručija is from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and works as the Regional Coordinator for the URI Multiregion. She is an activist, trying to facilitate dialog and interfaith work and reinforce the importance of living together for peace and security.She is also a part of UN Youth empowerment programs and working groups, such as UNDP’s 16×16 working group advocating for SDGs and Agenda 2030. 

Eda Molla Chousein

Eda Molla Chousein engaged in research and dialogue that works towards solving humanitarian and environmental conflicts. She believes that socio-cultural and socio-environmental events should be designed to raise awareness of global issues and provide opportunities for individual exchanges. Her main interest therefore is designing solution-focused and impactful events.

Irfan Pullani

Adv. Irfan Pullani is an independent peace-building researcher dedicated to resolving the decades-old Kashmir crisis in South Asia. He holds a master’s degree in International Law from the UN-mandated University for Peace, a bachelor’s in law from Delhi University, and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Calicut. Irfan underwent training at the United Nations Office in Geneva and co-represented the University at the 54th session of the Human Rights Council.

Vasu Bandhu

Bhikkhu Vasu Bandhu serves as Interfaith Manager for Arizona Faith Network, serves the Buddhist community as Bhikkhu (monk) in the Dhammapada Sangha, as representative for North America on the International Youth Committee of Religions for Peace International, and as treasurer on the North American Leadership Council of the United Religions Initiative (URI).

Nitish Barole

 Nitish is a Development & Humanitarian Professional with over a decade of expertise in youth leadership and peacebuilding.

In 2021, he founded Youth for Resilience. This youth-led and youth-based organization has reached over 4000 young people from 60 countries. He is a founding member of the Coexister Global Interfaith Youth Movement and served as India’s lead.
