EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS





The Earth Day celebration hosted by Ecopeace Family on April 22nd, 2024, marked a significant moment of unity and action in the local community. Commencing at 6:30 PM Indian time, the event brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds to collectively advocate for peace and climate action. The founder of Ecopeace Teen Cafe delivered a heartfelt address, setting the tone for an evening of inspiration and collaboration at the Ecopeace home.
The festivities transitioned seamlessly into an online gathering, which commenced with the launch of the Ecopeace Intergenerational Movement for Peace and Climate Action. This pivotal moment was led by Sally Mahe, Senior Advisor of the United Religions Initiative. Through poignant storytelling, Mahe emphasized the profound ripple effect created by ordinary individuals and underscored the importance of recognizing their contributions to global change.
As the inauguration of the Intergenerational Movement unfolded, attendees were treated to a moving conversation between Greshma and Sally. Their dialogue illuminated the transformative power of mentorship and empowerment, as Greshma shared her journey from participant to leader within the peacebuilding program.
